Backdraft (1991) is sure a good movie that everyone said it, i didn't see it yet, but it was well recieved by critics with a 74% rating and many audience loved this movie, but for some reason, it got a 38/100 Metacritic rating.

I don't get it.
That's because the film was criticized for not being realistic and because the story was weak. I enjoyed the original film and I still do. The second film was a huge misfire (pun not intended) and was probably made to commemorate the fact that a few years from now, the original film will be thirty years old, but to me and almost everyone else who hates the second one, a second film was not needed. Chicago Fire is to me, the real Backdraft 2 since it has nods to the 1991 classic and featured guest appearances from actors who were in the film (eg. Cedric Young, Richard Lexsee and Tony Mockus, Sr.). The technical advisor of both films also works on Chicago Fire. I do not recommend the second film. I am never watching the second film again for all of the reasons in the WIS section and I will never watch it again for as long as I live. I hate the second film with a passion and every time I watch the first film, I ignore the second film and in my mind, the second film is just fanfiction and I will pretend that it never happened.
The good news is, I will never watch the second film, never.
Disregard the second film. Just watch the original. If so, you are doing yourself a favor. If you want to see a good post-Backdraft firefighter film, watch Ladder 49 with John Travolta from 2004. I saw that at the movie theater with my dad when I was a teenager and to me it is an excellent and proper post-Backdraft firefighter film.
Even though Ladder 49 did received mixed reviews, so okay, I'll watch it soon enough. I guess it's actually decent post Backdraft film, okay then.
It is and I highly recommend it and it is one of my favorite films I saw as a teenager. To add to that, it should be on Better Movies Wikia.
I'm now in the works in my sandbox on GMW. :)
Sounds good to me.
I also could add it on GMW, and sure, BMW, (Greatest Movies Wiki). both wikis.
I started it on the BMW page. I hope you enjoy the film.
I'm sorry for what you said.
You did nothing wrong. I was just editing.
Okay. BTW, Today or tomorrow, I won't tell you what movie will be, but you'll see on GMW.
About the film
1. Doing a high note ending and you decided to make another sequel ignoring the high note, Is very unforgivable idea.
2. This is why, a lot of Direct-to-DVD movies, Suck.
Did you see this film or just the original film?
Not yet mate.
Not both of em yet.
Here sequel that don't need sequel films:
First, Speed 2: Cruise Control
Now, Backdraft 2!
I have no idea. Luckily, there will be no Back to the Future IV since Robert Zemeckis has for years said that he will never make another installment.
We'll wait and see.
He really said that a fourth film is not in the works and never will be and the closest things to a fourth one are comics, an animated TV series and video games.
Okay, thanks for telling me that!
You're welcome and I'm thankful there won't be another Back to the Future film.
Copy that bro.
To me, video games that are related to a film franchise are close to a movie sequel (eg. Ghostbusters: The Video Game from 2009 is equal to being a real Ghostbusters 3, even though a real Ghostbusters 3 is coming out next year).
Just like many fans considered Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis the fourth Indiana Jones before the Crystal Skull was released.
As a huge fan of the original film....
I grew up watching the 1991 film Backdraft and a huge fan of the original film, I need to say this, Backdraft 2 is so awful that I will never watch it again. If you care to see it, I would highly recommend to not purchase it on home media. It'd be best to watch it for free or not watch it at all. If you haven’t seen pile of smoldering drek, you're not missing anything.
