Talk:Alien: Covenant

It's official. In September 2020, Ridley Scott has confirmed that a new Alien film is now in development, although he stated it was unlikely to continue the Prometheus narrative. So, the new Alien film will probably not be a follow up the Alien: Covenant, or Prometheus. But we don't exactly know what is going to be in this newer Alien film, and let's prepare for the possibly awfulness if they don't keep the horror, or charm from the first two films in 1979 and 1986. :(

Ugh, this is why Prometheus and Alien Covenant don't feel like they're in the same timeline. I would've preferred Prometheus being the only prequel and actually completing the origin story. I would've also preferred if Alien 3 was about Ripley, Hicks, and Newt kill some Xenomorphs on the spaceship, then are tasked with killing the remaining ones in Colorado Springs, Ontario, London, Paris, Newcastle (Australia), and Antarctica while fighting against Weyland Yutani and Ripley sacrificing herself at the end in Antarctica...

1. I wanted David 8, to die in the final act of the movie.
2. Adding diffrent horror soundtrack than recyeling the soundtrack.
3. Scary, MORE scary stuff.
4. Smart humans keep their helments on, instead of taking it off.
5. To be directed by Myself.
6. Any prediction mentioned to the Alien franchise, and good callbacks.

I had similar reasons for hating The Predator with a burning passion.

Prometheus was pretty good imo, but Covenant was extremely mediocre.

So Kearns, I'm declaring that Alien: Covenant is a non-cannon to the franchise in our opinion for good reasons why the movie sucked. :)

Let me guss, Alien prequels is Star Wars' prequels' cousin, and I'm never watching Promethus, and Coveant, and I'm thinking that the prequels are both non-cannon.

Guys, I'm clearly an idiot about what I've did to Prometheus, I've actually defended the film and added Prometheus on Greatest Movies Wiki, and worst of all, I've never been much a fan of Alien franchise for years... :'(

No Face (Eiji) is right about what he is saying to me, that Prometheus says hello to me, and I've watched the movie, and I've added Prometheus on Greatest Movies Wiki, and I thought it was good.

I'm feeling like that I'm going to cry for real this time, I'm so sorry. Why did I ever do this...? :'(

You probably seen Alien Covenant, but not Prometheus?

In case you aren't aware, Prometheus is a prequel to the Alien franchise, but it had no connection to the Alien franchise, and yes, Covenant, is a sequel to Prometheus.  :(

I have not seen any of the Alien films.

Never saw this movie, mainly because IDFC about Alien.

That's fine. However, I will one day (but not anytime soon) watch the first two films and none of the other films after that.

You might also see Alien 3, despite the third one was kinda messy, but guess what? Alien 3 has been now been liked by the fans and non-Alien fan a lot lately.

My older brother (who is 25 years old) has actually watched the Alien movies, and out of all of the movies, he hated Alien: Covenant the most.

Really? Maybe if you DFC, You could watch it anyway, It's very scary.
