In the Name of the King 2: Two Worlds is a 2011 film directed by Uwe Boll and starring Dolph Lundgren in the lead role. It is the sequel to In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.

Plot

Granger, an ex-Special Forces soldier, gets dragged to the kingdom of Ehb to fulfill an ancient prophecy and ends up finding redemption for his own battlefield experiences.

Why It Sucks

  1. The movie is loaded with fantasy cliches.
  2. Terrible fight scenes, especially since Dolph Lundgren was injured during filming and couldn't do much.
  3. Inane script and bland acting.
  4. The sets and costumes look incredibly cheap.
  5. The movie is just incredibly slow and boring, taking forever to go anywhere.
  6. Terrible cinematography; the camera shakes a lot.
  7. Mediocre CGI.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. While the CGI is mostly bad, the dragon, at least, is rendered decently.

Trivia

  • Dolph Lundgren initially turned down the movie, but changed his mind after getting divorced and needing money.
  • Lundgren was injured during filming, which is why he doesn't do anything flashy in the movie.
  • In a connection to first film, "Granger" is another word for "Farmer".
