Gone Fishin' is a 1997 American comedy film starring Joe Pesci and Danny Glover as two bumbling fishing enthusiasts. This film is the only collaboration between Glover and Pesci outside of the Lethal Weapon series.

Summary

Two fishing fanatics get in trouble when their fishing boat gets stolen while on a trip.

Why It Sucks

  1. Laughable acting.
  2. Cheap soundtrack.
  3. The protagonists really don't do that much fishing.
  4. Joe Pesci and Danny Glover don't have that much chemistry.
  5. Predictable jokes.

The Only Redeeming Quality

  1. It has a possible potential of being a decent buddy comedy involving fishing.

Trivia

  • The lead roles were originally written for John Candy and Rick Moranis.
  • During production of the film, stuntwoman Janet Wilder was killed when a boat that was made to jump a ramp in one of the scenes landed on top of her.
