Category:Universal films
Universal Studios is one of the many major distributors of motion pictures and has been making many great motion pictures and not so great motion pictures, like any major studio. Universal has been distributing films since 1912. Some of the major hits from Universal Studios include the ever-popular Back To The Future trilogy, the Jurassic Park films, the Despicable Me franchise (from Illumination Entertainment), and many others. Universal Studios is also popular for its theme parks in Orlando, Hollywood, Japan, and Singapore. Generally, their films are terrific and were big hits. Sadly, these films made or distributed by Universal were poorly received by critics and audiences. In 2020, many theater chains starting from AMC began banning Universal films from their theaters, after Universal became interested in releasing movies theatrically and on video on demand simultaneously, after Trolls World Tour became a success.
