What's happening? Why are people leaving the Reception wikis? Because of drama?

What drama?

A lot of things: downvoters, account abusers, users arguing with each other, and let's not forget that a certain admin on the Games Wikis admitted to doxxing people 5 years ago and then left.

Downvotes are surely annoying and I am actually working on removing them. Account abusers and users arguing with each other usually happen on any wiki, I don't understand why someone is talking like the wikis used to be a paradise where things like these never happen but are now suddenly starting happening because this was never the case, quite the opposite.

Really, if anything these movies wikis for example were totally awful shortly after they were created, that's something everyone should already know so I won't repeat myself.

Actually, I was suggesting the idea of looking at a history of upvotes and downvotes on each commemt, so that way, we can find whoever's been excessively downvoting comments and block them.

Which is a bad idea, according to AttackAngel85.

A better option would be to remove upvotes and downvotes entirely.

To my knowledge we can only remove downvotes, but you never know. I wouldn't mind removing every type of vote from comments, users would be more forced to interact and talk without votes I guess.

Just some user who can be biased at times, and think he's always right.

Not me, I'm staying. There isn't even any drama so idk what everybody is talking about.

In fact, it is some users overreacting to things that often happen on the internet, things are as usual. If they want to leave the sites it is their right, but there is no real reason to do that or at least their reasons are not true.

The reason is so they wouldn't have to suffer under the drama anymore, so it wouldn't deal them a great amount of stress.

I was wrong to retire. I was getting infuriated with the supposed drama that I only read about.

It would be good if more people would realize that.

Really, to me it looks like a few users start calling something drama or controversy and then the mindset influences and spreads to other users; just that.

Honestly, it just feels like one drama war after another. And to be honest, I was thinking long before the Eiji controversy about leaving, since it was kinda getting slow and boring anyway. After this week, I plan to ONLY resort to non-reception wikis.

Since I'm an admin on the Games Wikis now, I'll be staying on Miraheze until summer, unless the drama gets so out of hand that I might leave earlier.

Actually, if you are now an admin then you should be more committed than that to the wikis. I just think that it is weird you already had plans to retire before becoming an administrator. Remember that you have the power to make things better on the sites.

Well, to be exact, I wasn't really planning on being an admin, but after what happened to SpazJR61 on the Games Wiki, I felt the need to become a new admin and do my best to make the Reception Wikis a better place by lessening the drama and start focusing on positive things for a change.

Plus, 5 or 6 months should be plenty of time for me to get Miraheze back on track and that way, we can find someone else who's as into posivity as I am to replace me when when I retire.

Not to mention that I have something big planned with my life, which may possibly effect my current status on the wikis.

So far, things are going pretty well for me. There are some missteps here and there, but they're pretty minor.

And it's pretty sad to see him go, too, because he and I were pretty close friends, even though he can be a bit biased at times.

I also accepted the fact that what he did was only 5 years ago and he regretted doing it, and I actually forgave him for it, even though he got a little too defensive about that and then bailed.
