Bad Qualities
- He admitted that he makes his movies as an excuse to take a vacation to exotic places rather than use any interest in film-making.
- Some of his films like Jack and Jill are considered the worst films of all time because of how bad they were.
- Despite having some great talents, he could have used the majority of his talents for his acting and singing, he is still a terrible comedic writer and actor who wastes the potential for it all.
- His films, in general, contain very lazy, unfunny, and cliched toilet humor and slapstick, whereupon not a single good joke is made in them sometimes.
- And also, most of his movies are also prone to having mean-spirited vibes rather than lighthearted and hilarious humor (with a few exceptions).
- Most of his films have product placement everywhere, sometimes having them either be the driving force of the movie, or just there because, why not?
- Even his own daughters don’t like his movies.
- Much like Rob Schneider, he plays racist and xenophobic stereotypes in various films.
- Speaking of Rob Schneider, he collaborated with him on some of his films.
- Nowadays, he is against negative criticism.
- In movies like Just Go With It, Hubie Halloween (Although it is excusable as Hubie is a very impressionable character), and Murder Mystery, his voice can come across as annoying, atrocious, and nerve-racking.
Good Qualities
- Back in the 1990s, he made some very funny movies such as Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, The Waterboy, and Billy Madison. Just like Schneider, he also was funny back on Saturday Night Live.
- His more serious performances in Uncut Gems, Punch Drunk Love and The Meyerowitz Stories show he is a good dramatic actor, while his voice performance as Dracula in the Hotel Transylvania trilogy shows that he also is a good voice actor for animation too.
- Despite the bad qualities centered on him, along with the fact that he can't take criticism nowadays, he's a fairly nice person in real life.
- He made tributes to Chris Farley and Cameron Boyce; he helped raise $15,000 in honor of Cameron Boyce.
- He also made a great guest appearance in "Punch Dumped Love", which is an episode from the Disney Channel show Jessie.
- His latest film, Hubie Halloween, isn't too bad. (depending on your point of view).
- Unlike some actors or actresses (or celebrities in general), he is nice to his fans and doesn't treat any of them like crap for no reason or because spite.
- He disowned Going Overboard by not including it in his filmography.
