Great Characters wiki and Horrible Music & Songs Wiki still need logos, and Wonderful Books Wiki has the Dreadful Books Wiki logo instead of its own logo.
Update on Logos
About the deletion
Why did you delete my page? I was working on it :(
You essentially just stated why it got deleted. You can't just publish an unfinished page and expect the admins to keep it, use your sandbox.
Well jeez sorry man.
Tell me what page it was and I will give it to you to place it in your sandbox, you can keep working on it there. We don't accept unfinished pages therefore you can't use the main namespace to write work in progress pages.
Alright thanks I'll continue working on it, I'm sorry for not responding been busy with other stuff
He retired, so no use responding.
So as I have observed, the only wikis that still need their logos are Wonderful Books Wiki, Horrible Music & Songs Wiki, and Great Characters Wiki.
Also you should probably put the wiki's title underneath the logos.
We've already adopted Dreadful Books Wiki?
Well Dreadful Books Wiki has its logo so I assume so.
Can you help me fix the grammar and spelling on the Wonder Woman 1984 page?
I intended to revamp the article a couple of days ago, but I ran into a problem as I've never seen the movie myself; what's with the "we" stuff? Shouldn't it have to do with the characters and not us, the audience?
I mean with the audience.
Great Characters Wiki's new name
I know that a name change was requested, but two things are coming in: Theworks84 is calling it Incredible Characters Wiki, but you said that you wanted to call it Amazing Characters Wiki. Since you are the creator of this project, it is your decision.
Yeah, in hindsight "Amazing" looks a bit odd in a "[Insert positive word] Characters Wiki" title to me.
I would call it Likable Characters Wiki, with the sister being called Unlikable Characters Wiki.
Well we would have to change both. If we kept Likeable than the abbreviations would be identical for Likeable Characters Wiki and Loathsome Characters Wiki. So yeah, I will ping @FreezingTNT and @Masson Thief.
The title for Loathsome Characters Wiki should remain the same. Great Characters Wiki would be renamed to Incredible Characters Wiki.
Indeed. I like FreezingTNT's names for the wikis better than CreativePenguin50's ideas.
Whatever you say... I had no faith on the names being chosen anyways, so...
The link, please.
Actually, I would like to hear more ideas other than "Incredible Characters Wiki".
Maybe “Wonderful Characters Wiki”.
Not bad. We could use it since Wonderful Books Wiki would change name. Any other ideas?
Plus, I think it could be a nice nod to WCW Wrestling (albeit accidental).
But if we go independent, that abbreviation might get us into legal trouble.
I think it is best to just stick with Incredible Characters Wiki.
WCW is no longer active. And what are the chances that we'll ever get noticed by a multi-billion-dollar corporation anyway? Plus, there are well-known companies out there that use similar names to other well-known companies, such as:
- Delta Airlines, Delta Faucets, and Delta Dental
- Domino Sugar and Domino's Pizza
- S.C. Johnson & Son and Johnson & Johnson
- The Hershey Company and Hershey Creamery Company
And it's not like we're going to end up as a serious competitor to FANDOM in the long run.
Plus, it's Masson's call, not yours. As he said, he would like to see more ideas for names. That doesn't warrant shutting the thread. That said, I don't want to cause drama or something that users will haphazardly throw bombastic terms at, so let's move on.
I guess that's fine. Still think Incredible Characters sounds better though.
I think "Incredible" is the better choice. To me, it (for whatever reason) feels more right/fitting to use than other terms like "Wonderful", "Likable", or something else like "Fantastic", and rolls off the tongue better than the other suggestions.
I like Fantastic Characters Wiki. Either Fantastic Characters Wiki or Incredible Characters Wiki will do for me.
All right. Masson has the final call, like I said. If he chooses ICW, it will become the name.
Let's see, "Likable" is kinda the opposite to "Loathsome" which would make sense but still I don't think it would be a good choice as it is an overused term on the internet. About that, this is only an idea which we don't have to do but would you like another name for Loathsome Characters Wiki? I always thought "loathsome" could make people want to write hate articles on the characters and that it is a too heavy and serious term overall.
I also am still going to wait a little more for other suggestions about Great Characters Wiki.
“Subpar Characters Wiki”.
Interesting. Anyone else?
I prefer Incredible Characters Wiki and Loathsome Characters Wiki, because Loathsome has been the name it has used for the entire time of its existence.
I have a bigger idea
I have seen some people saying this but: Why don’t we move these wikis onto a whole new wiki farm called “Qualitipedia” and then we can have all of the wikis, not just the entertainment based ones, move. Because we can’t just disregard all of the other reception wikis (or quality wikis as they are now known) like they don’t exist. I am not saying incorporate them into the rebrand, but if we make a separate wiki hosting hosting software, all of the wikis need to be included, not just the rebranded ones. Also, what about wikis like Ain’t It Funny Wiki or Larry Wiki. We would just be leaving thousands of wikis in the dust.
But maybe we should just create a YouTube channel, and maybe we can even make a company based on this, with merchandise and everything.
I am still concerned about the fate of those other wikis though.
The other wikis should just remain as outcasts, only the website, movie, series & episode, music & song, game, character and literature wikis would be the core/main wikis. We would be more in the likes of Wookieepedia (the Star Wars wiki) and others.
Maybe we can make an independent wiki farm that only includes the current wikis.
But like I said, the name “Qualitipedia” is singular, despite there being 14 wikis.
That is my main concern with that name, about how it signifies one single website rather than fourteen different websites.
Call it "Alliance of Qualitipedias".
Or the Qualitipedia Foundation, similar to Wikipedia's Wikimedia Foundation.
When will a bureaucrat put the logos on the Qualitipedia wikis.
I don't think we should be allowing more extreme profanity. Just because this wiki is 13+ doesn't mean we should be swearing a lot. I mean more mild swear words I can understand but a lot of wikis on FANDOM ban profanity even though FANDOM is 13+, so we shouldn't be playing the 13+ card. If we do have profane content, we should at least mark it as NSFW.
I think the current rule is fine the way it is.
What do you mean by “current rule”
At least mark it for NSFW.
Yes she will. Okay I am closing this now, extreme profanity like the words you just used are unacceptable.
And I notice profanity easy, it was the first thing I saw on the Ice Age collision course page and it is the first thing I saw in your reply.
For articles, that's understable since they need to be written in a formal manner. But everythin' else can casual and informal as they like. Same goes for people. People have more important things to worry about than normal words since the ignoring option exists and plus we're in a pandemic for fuck sakes. As a matter of fact, I stopped being formal on the wikis altogether for good. I'm no longer doin' it just to fit in or for people to like me. That ain't the real me. I prefer to speak like I actually do in real life. No, this isn't to make to cool. I grew to speak like this because others do in New York.
Well if the article has strong profanity like that it is informal. But I am fine with people swearing as long as it is not too excessive. I just prefer to talk formally and not use slang or profanity.
I think the Wiki should only need swears when they’re needed or within quotes. Just making like adding one every other word isn’t even funny and can be quite tasteless to some. Not everyone has to swear constantly like some of you do.
And even in quotes they should at least be censored, like with an asterisk.
how do yo add info popups with images and text i would like to add them to my miraheze wiki.
I don't know what you're talking about...?
Why did the font get changed on this wiki? I liked the old font, and it is still used on the other wikis. Can you please change it back.
