1. Doing a high note ending and you decided to make another sequel ignoring the high note, Is very unforgivable idea.
2. This is why, a lot of Direct-to-DVD movies, Suck.

Here sequel that don't need sequel films:
First, Speed 2: Cruise Control
Now, Backdraft 2!
Who's next!?!
I have no idea. Luckily, there will be no Back to the Future IV since Robert Zemeckis has for years said that he will never make another installment.
He really said that a fourth film is not in the works and never will be and the closest things to a fourth one are comics, an animated TV series and video games.
You're welcome and I'm thankful there won't be another Back to the Future film.
To me, video games that are related to a film franchise are close to a movie sequel (eg. Ghostbusters: The Video Game from 2009 is equal to being a real Ghostbusters 3, even though a real Ghostbusters 3 is coming out next year).
Just like many fans considered Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis the fourth Indiana Jones before the Crystal Skull was released.
