Welcome to the Awful Movies Wiki!
Movies that will make you want to get your money back...
Cuties - A 2020 French movie that, in one of the biggest examples of hypocrisy, claims to have an anti-pedophilic message, when it actually fully participates in pedophilia by showing many scantily-clad minors throughout the film, and ruined the reputation of worldwide distributor Netflix.
North - One of the most racist movies of all time that was heavily criticized by the late Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert
The Room - The most notable example of a film inciting fun and entertainment for how bad it is
Troll 2 - A sequel that had no real connection to the first movie, as it features goblins rather than trolls
Battlefield Earth - Another poorly-made, generic sci-fi film with too much Dutch camera angles and John Travolta's overacting that caused Franchise Pictures to shut its doors, all thanks to the failure of this movie
The Emoji Movie - An animated film about emojis with an overusage of product placements for phone apps and a very predictable and formulaic plot that is based on ideas that were already used many times in other movies
Unfriended - A generic slasher movie in which the antagonist is a wronged person returning from the grave to enact revenge and the protagonists are a group of people with dark secrets, with its only major original concept being the film being shown mostly on a laptop, and also suffers from characters who cannot go nearly one sentence without swearing for the sake of it
The Cat in the Hat (2003) - The film based on the well-known children book that added pointless adult jokes and caused Dr. Seuss' widow Audrey Geisel to pull the plug on any more live-action adaptations of her husband's work
Foodfight! - An animated film that became a mess after most of its assets were stolen nearly a decade before, containing visual effects of rather low-quality, extremely inappropriate scenes for a children's film and unclear internal rules
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - The second installment in the DC Extended Universe that is riddled with multiple plot threads that were left unresolved and were supposed to be filled in for future installments
Throughout the history of cinema, there have been movies that made you sigh, movies that made you cringe, movies that made you laugh at just how bad they are, and even movies that made you go "art is dead." This wiki was made to let movie aficionados know about some of the worst movies ever made and even some of the worst moments in film history.

Saving Christmas - A Christmas film that follows a horrible story that also has a bunch of lzy attempts at humor with awful jokes and call-outs at Christmas to be insulting for the sake of being insulting.
Plan 9 from Outer Space - The first movie to be considered "So bad, it's good..." for the hilariously bad setting, acting, and many mistakes and errors, such as an obvious Bela Lugosi stand-in, weird characters, and poor special effects
Cool Cat Saves the Kids - An "educational" film infamous for its low-budget quality that was patched from three short films, resulting in a mostly-incoherent story, and also suffers from a poor grasp of the source material by its own creator and an unlikable protagonist who seems like a bully (going against the supposed purpose of this film) as well as harmful messages for children
Hellboy (2019) - An atrocious reboot of the first Hellboy film that is filled with graphic violence far too extreme even for a film with an R-rating, a rather poor grasp of the source material and loads of unnecessary swearing
Norm of the North - A computer-animated film which constantly has to remind its audience of its main character's goal as if they are not smart enough and pander to said audience by shoehorning in pop songs and showing its main character twerking, and also features nonsensical motivations for the characters
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - The ninth and final installment in the series' Skywalker saga that is a textbook example of how not to end a once-beloved franchise
Leaving Neverland - A documentary movie about Michael Jackson that was infamous for being part of the lie where Jackson is a pedo.
Twilight - A vampire film about the relationship between a teenage girl and her abusive vampire partner that is full of wooden and lifeless acting and a severe lack of chemistry between the two lead characters
Manos: The Hands of Fate - A film that features obviously dubbed voices, a long and boring intro, and a pointless subplot
Music - A 2021 film directed by Sia that is notorious for its gross mishandling of autism.
The Little Panda Fighter - A Brazilian "mock-buster" of Kung Fu Panda with an awkward English dub and low-quality computer animation
The Lord of the Rings - The first film based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings that suffered from its unfinished story and feeling, as well as having other problems such as its animation.
Fifty Shades of Grey - An erotic romance film with poor writing, lack of chemistry that comes off as abusive and sex scenes that only come off as rape and torture
Cars 2 - An animated sequel that proved Pixar was not immune from stinkers and John Lasseter was not "Mr. Perfect"
Ice Age: Collision Course - The fourth sequel to the original 2002 film that not only suffers from a near-lack of originality as well as an over-the-top animation style that feels too jarring for an Ice Age film but also butchers comic relief Scrat as a character, even upping his antics to such an absurd degree it loses its comedic edge
Ghostbusters (2016) - This controversial reboot film that was a perversion of the beloved franchise and was little more than feminist propaganda.
Fantasy Island - Blumhouse's worst film out of all of them which was a poor attempt to the 1970s series and way too much unnecessary jumpscares.
Disaster Movie - A Seltzer and Friedberg-written movie that truly lives up to its title... in a bad way
Jack and Jill - A comedy film directed by Dennis Dugan that is a ridiculous and laughable concept of a fairy tale, being predictable and non-existent, and having way too little going to a lot of padding here and there.
Mulan (2020) - A live-action remake of the 1998 traditionally-animated classic of the same name which has a questionable grasp of Chinese folklore, renders its titular character overpowered from the start and thus harder to relate to and also lacks specific story elements from the original, resulting in viewers "needing" to watch the original to understand what is going on
Super Mario Bros. - The first Hollywood live-action film based on a video game, which suffers from a poor grasp of the source material
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul - The fourth installment in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film series that was heavily criticized for not having the original cast and having the Heffleys' characterizations completely butchered
Cats - An adaptation of the Broadway musical of the same name featuring creepy and uncanny designs for the feline characters, alongside uncanny computer-generated imagery
Terminator: Dark Fate - The Terminator film that killed off the franchise's main protagonist the second it had the chance in favor of a female-lead cast, which ultimately led to the death of the franchise
The Last Airbender - A live-action adaptation that had nothing but whitewashing, too much exposition and lack of emotion for the characters, and led to director M. Night Shyamalan's downfall that lasted the next few years
The Adventures of Pluto Nash - A science fiction film that suffers from an overuse of robot-related sexual humor and weak progression of the plot which was despised by Alec Baldwin, who did not want to be credited
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - The sequel to Jurassic World that suffers from bland villains with cheap motivations, poor handling of the overall message of the movie, and a terrible and nonsensical ending
2012 - Another generic and forgettable disaster film that is based on an outdated hoax saying that the world would end on December 21, 2012, suffers from a lot of filler and a lack of logic, and is insulting to other nations to the point where it got banned in North Korea
The Garbage Pail Kids Movie - A film based on a series of children's trading cards that became one of the most unfunny and disgusting comedies of all time
Gods of Egypt - A cliche 2016 film that most people consider the "worst film of 2016" with Gods not being potrayed powerful at all.

Dragonball: Evolution - A live-action movie that ruined the reputation of one of the greatest animes of all time.
Elf Bowling the Movie: The Great North Pole Elf Strike - A film that is based on something with so little movie potential that it was doomed to fail anyway.
Titanic: The Legend Goes On - A film about one of the greatest tragedies that are completely insensitive to what it's based on by adding a creepy love interest and talking animals.
We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story - An animated film that suffers from an inconsistent tone, overusage of closeups on the characters' eyes, and an utterly ridiculous concept about dinosaurs going forward in time in order to make children happy
The Lion King - A remake of the 1994 Disney classic that, while boasting photorealistic CGI, had characters and scenes that lack emotion, and other pointless changes
Fantastic Four (2015) - A soulless Fantastic Four reboot with extremely bad acting, unlikeable characters and was only made so Fox could hold onto the Fantastic Four rights, but failed.
Mac and Me - A rip-off to E.T that is nothing more than a commercial for McDonalds and Coca-Cola.
Showgirls - A film stuffed with fornicating that killed not only the careers of Elizabeth Berkeley, Paul Verhoeven and Joe Eszterhas, but two of the film studios that produced it
Space Jam: A New Legacy - A stand alone sequel of Space Jam that shoves Warner Bros properties too much to the point of confusion
Fun Size - Nickelodeon's lowest grossing film of all time that has terrible acting and pacing, and features tons of coarse language, sexual content, and adult humor in a PG-13 movie by a kids company.

"Foodfight! is the worst thing in the history of anything ever. But at the same time I couldn't help to be fascinated by how ungrateful and artless it is. "
I Hate Everything
"Final Verdict: Just to sum up the obvious, Foodfight! is an unfunny, inappropriate, insensitive, and aggravating piece of trash. It's a perfect example of why certain people should not be allowed to make movies."
Cynical Reviews
"This is awful! IT'S AWFUL! I'd much rather read the credits like I'm reading a memorial of all the poor people who gave their life to this horribleness! All adding up to shit! $65 MILLION OF SHIT!!"
Nostalgia Critic

Foodfight! is a 2012 computer-animated adventure comedy film directed by Lawrence Kasanoff and produced by Threshold Entertainment. The film takes place in a supermarket which, after closing time, transforms into a city where all the citizens are personified and anthropomorphic well-known marketing icons.

The movie originally had a Christmas 2003 theatrical release; however, it was delayed, as the project had to start over with only what little remained since hard drives containing unfinished assets from the film were stolen (in what was quoted as an act of "industrial espionage") and that no backups were available (when they're actually deleted on purpose). It was released a decade later after being auctioned off and "finished" as quickly and cheaply as possible. Its state would lead it to become known as one of the worst animated movies of all time, and a serious contender for the title of outright worst.

About Featured Articles | Nominate an Article

  1. As quality control begins to apply stronger than ever, check out the tutorial on how to create a page, before creating an article.
    • Also, do not suggest critics who like any of the movies with articles on the Awful Movies Wiki are being "bribed" unless there is any evidence.
  2. Web reviewers will be considered if they meet the requirements of the wiki; for more detailed rules about accepted web reviewers, read the specific article here.
  3. There are two major headings required to use for each article, excluding those with the "Horrible Moments in Cinematic History" category: "Plot" and "Why It/He/She Sucks" ("Now", if they used to rock); the latter can be titled as the "Bad Qualities" section for any articles with the "Average films" category. The latter must contain valid and detailed reasons; do your best to avoid generic pointers such as "bad acting/animation/soundtrack/etc.," or other pointers like "this film spawned the X meme(s)."
    • "Redeeming Qualities" (or "Good Qualities") is optional; it can only be used if the film discussed in the article has positives.
    • Custom headers are allowed, but they should be unique per article to avoid overusage, and they can only be used on "Why It Sucks". Using custom headers on "Redeeming/Good Qualities" is forbidden due to them being redundant. Coloring the titles of films are forbidden, as articles must be kept simple; not to mention they show up incorrectly on certain devices. If the title officially contains an ampersand instead of the word "and", it must be used.
  4. Do not create new categories; if you think a new category is needed, ask the moderators and they would make it for you if your suggestion proves to be useful. Creating excessive spam categories will possibly result in a ban.
  5. Do not create an article about unofficial web films (i.e. Go!Animate: The Movie) or even official films that have not been released yet; no exceptions.
  6. Reviews and quotes are optional; however, if you plan to insert any reviews or quotes made by critics or YouTubers, it is also okay to take reviews and quotes from other sources. However, plagiarism is not acceptable for anything else, including pasting in plot summaries from articles on, say, Wikipedia; if your article is suspected of plagiarism, it will be removed and you will be blocked for a day the first time you break this rule.
    • Videos from CinemaSins are banned from the Awful Movies Wiki due to being unreliable and full of nitpicks; repeatedly breaking this rule without warning will increase the duration of further blocks. On that topic, here is a list of rules regarding the uploading of videos from YouTube.
  7. Anything related to memes are allowed, but please put them in the "Trivia" section, if needed.
  8. Either rude or immature behavior towards others will not be tolerated; if you act rude or immature towards another user, expect a permanent ban.
    • Similarly, do not create any blog posts that are hit pieces about users you dislike.
  9. Do not create a page about trilogies, duologies, franchises, etc.; not only is making an article about a single film simpler, but each film in any specific series is different from another, even if they are part of the same set. Making an article about an entire, say, trilogy does not really make a lot of sense if you want to explain why each one of them sucks.
  10. "Not screened for critics," "This is a cash grab," "At least it is better than...", "No one wanted this film...", "This spawned the X meme(s)", "X is rolling in their grave", and "Wasted the talents of..." reasons, as well as terms such "Let that sink in..." are not allowed due to not affecting the quality of the actual film.
    • Add meme pointers in Trivia.
  11. Do not close threads so soon without waiting for someone else to give their two cents.
  12. Please refrain from using profanity in the articles, aside from in quotes from YouTubers and critics; using profanity in the comment section of any article as well as threads, however, is allowed as long as it is not used against other users without a good reason to do so. Adding YouTube videos with profanity in the title is allowed, but will be controlled if necessary.
  13. Be as formal as possible whenever editing.
  14. Removing information or messing with the articles without giving a good reason is considered vandalism and can result in a permanent ban.
  15. Reasons for the removal of specific comments are them consisting of either malicious propaganda, harassment of others, or pornography; the comment would also be removed if it does not make any sense.
  16. If you plan on creating a sandbox, please do not use it outside of creating approved pages or proposed edits to protected pages. If you wish to make unofficial pages, it is recommended to use a blog post for that; using blog posts as sandboxes to get around this rule is not allowed.
    • Categories are forbidden from being used in sandboxes.
  17. Do not blame politics for specific bad films being nominated for awards over good ones; this would cause massive amounts of drama.
  18. On that topic, reliable sources must be cited for specific facts, no exceptions; this means you cannot just insert in a fact about, say, something that has happened during the production of any specific movie without any evidence whatsoever.
  19. No harmful and insulting content directed to the wikis and to their users posted off-site will be tolerated; in addition, no excuses like "it's a joke", "it is not to be taken seriously" will be valid. Regarding how old the offending content is, it will be up to the administration staff to decide but know that generally the harmfulness of verifiable malicious content doesn't expire after a certain period of time.
  20. Breaking any of the aforementioned rules will result in one warning; if you persevere you will face a ban for a temporary period of time. The duration of the ban will depend on the gravity of your misbehavior unless already specified in the rule.
  21. Do not add as a redeeming quality "if X had better planning, it would be on Greatest Movies Wiki", or “If X had a little more time, it would be on the Greatest Movies Wiki”, because it is generic and doesn't add to the article.
  22. Do not add any categories related to movies, celebrities, companies, etc. to a blog, as that will only clog up the wiki. Anyone who does this will recieve a warning or a block.
  23. If you see a troll causing trouble, do not interact with them in any shape or form and instead report them to the admins, as giving them any attention is troll-feeding and will only make things worse.
  24. Do not add too many videos to an article. Doing so will only slow down a computer, especially an older one.
  25. The disclaimer "WARNING: Do not add this to the Average category" is now forbidden due to being overused, and anyone who adds it will be warned. Persisting with this will result in a block.
  26. Do not add the Good or Featured templates to pages without an admin's permission. Instead, nominate the article you think is worthy of one of the templates.
  27. Before you move a page, create a topic on what you think said page should be renamed to, so that you can see other users' thoughts on it, and whether or not they agree to it.
  28. Do not create Requests for Comments asking that a certain user you personally dislike be banned, or else there will be massive drama. Anyone caught doing this will be blocked without warning.

  1. If you're an admin, it is you who must make the users respect your decisions and the rules, not the other way around. Please keep your cool without fearing backlash.
  2. Do not delete comments, blogs, or talk pages that contain criticisms of the wikis, as it will make us look like we couldn't handle any slight of criticism.
  • Any movie on Greatest Movies Wiki: Self-explanatory.
  • Any movie that hasn't came out yet: We can't judge how the movie is until it comes out.
  • Any celebrity: Can be against the Content Policy, and people could just add anybody they hate anyway, so it's best not to have any at all.
  • The Loud House Movie - Has a history of causing rampant drama on this wiki and Greatest Movies Wiki.
  • Sausage Party - Way too decisive to be on either wiki.
  • Non-existent movies - Self-explanatory.
