Unfriended - A generic slasher movie in which the antagonist is a wronged person returning from the grave to enact revenge and the protagonists are a group of people with dark secrets, with its only major original concept being the film being shown mostly on a laptop, and also suffers from characters who cannot go nearly one sentence without swearing for the sake of it
The Cat in the Hat (2003) - The film based on the well-known children book that added pointless adult jokes and caused Dr. Seuss' widow Audrey Geisel to pull the plug on any more live-action adaptations of her husband's work

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - The second installment in the DC Extended Universe that is riddled with multiple plot threads that were left unresolved and were supposed to be filled in for future installments

RULES AND GUIDELINES
  1. As quality control begins to apply stronger than ever, check out the tutorial on how to create a page, before creating an article.
    • Also, do not suggest critics who like any of the movies with articles on the Awful Movies Wiki are being "bribed" unless there is any evidence.
  2. Web reviewers will be considered if they meet the requirements of the wiki; for more detailed rules about accepted web reviewers, read the specific article here.
  3. There are two major headings required to use for each article, excluding those with the "Horrible Moments in Cinematic History" category: "Plot" and "Why It/He/She Sucks" ("Now", if they used to rock); the latter can be titled as the "Bad Qualities" section for any articles with the "Average films" category. The latter must contain valid and detailed reasons; do your best to avoid generic pointers such as "bad acting/animation/soundtrack/etc.," or other pointers like "this film spawned the X meme(s)."
    • "Redeeming Qualities" (or "Good Qualities") is optional; it can only be used if the film discussed in the article has positives.
    • Custom headers are allowed, but they should be unique per article to avoid overusage, and they can only be used on "Why It Sucks". Using custom headers on "Redeeming/Good Qualities" is forbidden due to them being redundant. Coloring the titles of films are forbidden, as articles must be kept simple; not to mention they show up incorrectly on certain devices. If the title officially contains an ampersand instead of the word "and", it must be used.
  4. Do not create new categories; if you think a new category is needed, ask the moderators and they would make it for you if your suggestion proves to be useful. Creating excessive spam categories will possibly result in a ban.
  5. Do not create an article about unofficial web films (i.e. Go!Animate: The Movie) or even official films that have not been released yet; no exceptions.
  6. Reviews and quotes are optional; however, if you plan to insert any reviews or quotes made by critics or YouTubers, it is also okay to take reviews and quotes from other sources. However, plagiarism is not acceptable for anything else, including pasting in plot summaries from articles on, say, Wikipedia; if your article is suspected of plagiarism, it will be removed and you will be blocked for a day the first time you break this rule.
    • Videos from CinemaSins are banned from the Awful Movies Wiki due to being unreliable and full of nitpicks; repeatedly breaking this rule without warning will increase the duration of further blocks. On that topic, here is a list of rules regarding the uploading of videos from YouTube.
  7. Anything related to memes are allowed, but please put them in the "Trivia" section, if needed.
  8. Either rude or immature behavior towards others will not be tolerated; if you act rude or immature towards another user, expect a permanent ban.
    • Similarly, do not create any blog posts that are hit pieces about users you dislike.
  9. Do not create a page about trilogies, duologies, franchises, etc.; not only is making an article about a single film simpler, but each film in any specific series is different from another, even if they are part of the same set. Making an article about an entire, say, trilogy does not really make a lot of sense if you want to explain why each one of them sucks.
  10. "Not screened for critics," "This is a cash grab," "At least it is better than...", "No one wanted this film...", "This spawned the X meme(s)", "X is rolling in their grave", and "Wasted the talents of..." reasons, as well as terms such "Let that sink in..." are not allowed due to not affecting the quality of the actual film.
    • Add meme pointers in Trivia.
  11. Do not close threads so soon without waiting for someone else to give their two cents.
  12. Please refrain from using profanity in the articles, aside from in quotes from YouTubers and critics; using profanity in the comment section of any article as well as threads, however, is allowed as long as it is not used against other users without a good reason to do so. Adding YouTube videos with profanity in the title is allowed, but will be controlled if necessary.
  13. Be as formal as possible whenever editing.
  14. Removing information or messing with the articles without giving a good reason is considered vandalism and can result in a permanent ban.
  15. Reasons for the removal of specific comments are them consisting of either malicious propaganda, harassment of others, or pornography; the comment would also be removed if it does not make any sense.
  16. If you plan on creating a sandbox, please do not use it outside of creating approved pages or proposed edits to protected pages. If you wish to make unofficial pages, it is recommended to use a blog post for that; using blog posts as sandboxes to get around this rule is not allowed.
    • Categories are forbidden from being used in sandboxes.
  17. Do not blame politics for specific bad films being nominated for awards over good ones; this would cause massive amounts of drama.
  18. On that topic, reliable sources must be cited for specific facts, no exceptions; this means you cannot just insert in a fact about, say, something that has happened during the production of any specific movie without any evidence whatsoever.
  19. No harmful and insulting content directed to the wikis and to their users posted off-site will be tolerated; in addition, no excuses like "it's a joke", "it is not to be taken seriously" will be valid. Regarding how old the offending content is, it will be up to the administration staff to decide but know that generally the harmfulness of verifiable malicious content doesn't expire after a certain period of time.
  20. Breaking any of the aforementioned rules will result in one warning; if you persevere you will face a ban for a temporary period of time. The duration of the ban will depend on the gravity of your misbehavior unless already specified in the rule.
  21. Do not add as a redeeming quality "if X had better planning, it would be on Greatest Movies Wiki", or “If X had a little more time, it would be on the Greatest Movies Wiki”, because it is generic and doesn't add to the article.
  22. Do not add any categories related to movies, celebrities, companies, etc. to a blog, as that will only clog up the wiki. Anyone who does this will recieve a warning or a block.
  23. In order to comply with COPPA, you may only sign in if you are ages 13 or older. If we catch you saying your age and if it’s under 13, we may block you until you turn 13.
  24. If you see a troll causing trouble, do not interact with them in any shape or form and instead report them to the admins, as giving them any attention is troll-feeding and will only make things worse.
  25. Do not add too many videos to an article. Doing so will only slow down a computer, especially an older one.
  26. The disclaimer "WARNING: Do not add this to the Average category" is now forbidden due to being overused, and anyone who adds it will be warned. Persisting with this will result in a block.
  27. Do not add the Good or Featured templates to pages without an admin's permission. Instead, nominate the article you think is worthy of one of the templates.

Admins

  1. If you're an admin, it is you who must make the users respect your decisions and the rules, not the other way around. Please keep your cool without fearing backlash.
  2. Do not delete comments, blogs, or talk pages that contain criticisms of the wikis, as it will make us look like we couldn't handle any slight of criticism.
FORBIDDEN PAGES
  • Any movie on Greatest Movies Wiki: Self-explanatory.
  • Any movie that hasn't came out yet: We can't judge how the movie is until it comes out.
  • Any celebrity: Can be against the Content Policy, and people could just add anybody they hate anyway, so it's best not to have any at all.
